April 5
During the Delayed (cancelled) work party, I was out there taking pictures so that all our friends and members could see how much work is yet to be done by the members of the Riverton Yacht Club. Just be cause you have joined as a contributing member doesn't mean that you can't help out at the work parties. Just ask Terry for a job, always glad to help. Cleaning, painting, putting in docks, making coffee, serving donuts are all jobs that need to be done. Take this opportunity to help out and join us at the work parties. If you can't make the work party (serving in Iran is a viable excuse), don't forget to send an email to Terry Fennell (tfennell1@msn.com) for a job later or send in the "missed workparty contribution".
As typical, the first work party was a standard cold, rainy day that you can see from the pictures. The concrete has been poured and there is now a small 6"-8" lip around the whole pier, which might be a necessary safety thing if we have to put railing about the pier. Concrete ramps go to the walkways to the primary floats. What a great job! We all owe Hank Croft and all the Riverton Yacht Club Directors and Officers a big "Thank You" for starting this process 5 or more years ago with the grant applications!
Not part of the reconstruction, but remember to support our troops that have brought us the freedom to voice our opinions freely.
If you have it, a vet offered or gave his/her life to make it available!
