Riverton YC Mariner River Race 

Very windy conditions and it rained heavily in the morning, but 3 intrepid Mariner sailors braved the winds and the marginal conditions to sail from Riverton Yacht Club to Burlington and then to race back in one of the most interesting races of the Mariner Racing series.

Dave Oldham with Dave Oldham (jr) started off the race in the lead and it only widened as the race proceeded. The race back had Scott and Read leading on the way back until they got to home waters where they lost their heads and went in shore and Dave Oldham stayed in the current to beat them at the finish line. A lead of 20 yards over a 10 mile race! Dan Walsh with his great team Susanne & Sarah sailed their Stuart Mariner in his first Mariner River Race.
